Congratulations to all P-CEP band students who participated at Districts Solo & Ensemble! 117 P-CEP events received Division 1 ratings! All students who received a Division 1 rating are invited to participate in States Solo & Ensemble. P-CEP 's participation at the state level has grown from 15 participating in 2014 to 41 in 2018! This year should meet or exceed last year!

Four P-CEP band students participated in the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association's 2019 All-State Ensembles Program. Over 2,700 students audition for nearly 400 slots in the program held in conjunction with the Michigan Music Conference in Grand Rapids at the DeVos Center. It is a great honor for students to be selected in the program. The P-CEP band students that were selected for the All-State Ensembles Program are:

  • Nate Lewis, Senior – Baritone Saxophone, All-State High School Jazz Ensemble
  • Matthew Milanovich, Senior – Trumpet, All-State High School Jazz Ensemble
  • Anna Muller, Sophomore - Percussion, All-State High School Band Ensemble
  • Cooper Rossio, Senior – Euphonium, All-State High School Band Ensemble

The P-CEP Wind Ensemble, the district's top band ensemble, participated as one of the featured performing ensembles at the 2019 Michigan Music Conference in Grand Rapids. An invitation to perform at the Michigan Music Conference in front of some of the most talented music educators and students in the state is a great honor.
